Want more speed
Hi,
Just got a reply back from EMP about a motor rebuild for my upgraded 1986 EZGO. Here is the info I gave them on the questionaire: MANUFACTURER: > E-Z-GO > > GOLF CAR MODEL: > 1986 EZ-GO. 4 passenger. > > VOLTAGE: > upgraded to 48v > > TIRE SIZE: > 23 inch > > CONTROLLER: > upgraded to 700amp controller. > > MOTOR: > The name plate on the motor is not readable. I looked on line and found a > motor that is a replacement. It says it replaces: OEM Part Numbers - > Replaces the following OEM numbers EZ 13485-G1, 13329-G1, 14877-G1 OEM GE # > 5BC48JB563A, 5BC48JB563B, 5BC48JB563C, 5BC48JB644, 5BC48JB644A, 5BC48JB644B, > 5BC48JB645A, 5BC48JB645B. > > It is a 10 spline motor that is perpendicular to the axle, between > the batteries. > > SPECIAL FEATURES: > 23\" oversized off road tires. 4\" lift kit. roll cage. 8 six > volt batteries. 2 in the bagwell. > > PRESENT TOP SPEED: > 19.8 mph gps on flat asphalt Their reply was: At this time we can not help you with your application. I'm not sure what's up with that. Does anyone have any ideas. I would still like to increase my top speed. Thanks. |

Re: Want more speed
after 88 most stock motors are NLA so you haveto repair them and they sell all the parts to repair that may be why they can,t help with a high speed but someplace out there has to be able to do something for it................................

Re: Want more speed
EMP rebuilt my 10 spine motor. Made it into two speed motor. I have it installed but not wired in yet.
They will probably need your motor to rebuild. I don't think they stock cores of these old motors. Call them up and talk to Andrea. They are nice people. |
