Default What type of motor is this?

I'm building up my 94 Marathon and I pulled the axle out today to start cleaning it up for the lift. It drove very slow when I was driving it around and this is the motor I found in it. Is this even a GC motor? Or something they stuck in there.

That's an aftermarket motor, supposed to be a speed motor too.

Well she sure wasn't speedy by any means... Maybe 11mph if I was lucky and if there was a slight incline or even the wind blowing towards the cart there was a significant loss of speed. Maybe it just needs a rebuild.

I bet PQ could do wonders with that bad boy. 48 volts sure wouldn't hurt it either.

I'll have to contact them and get a quote. Not looking to do 48V just yet though. Might not do that on this cart.

ARS1......That is a SERIES motor......now stock is typically 13-14 mph with everything is tip top shape......but at only 2.5 hp and at 3300 rpm.....its not going to do anything more than a stock motor.
