36v TXT Solenoid clicking but no movement
Ive checked all the wires and connections and everything looks good. Could the solenoid be bad but still be clicking?

Re: 36v TXT Solenoid clicking but no movement
I should add, that some days the cart runs and some days it doesn't for seemingly no reason. I assume I have a bad connection somewhere, but cant seem to find it.

Re: 36v TXT Solenoid clicking but no movement
Solenoid could still be bad (even tho it "clicks"). Check the voltage on the output side of solenoid (big wire from solenoid to controller). It should increase about 1-2 volts when solenoid is "on".

Tested with voltage meter, seems to be functioning properly. Other thoughts? I'm at a loss.

Re: 36v TXT Solenoid clicking but no movement
is your cart a SERIES or a SEPEX drive??
seeing as how your solenoid is clicking and working, the issue is in the HIGH CURRENT portion of the system (BIG cables). and seeing how you said it works sometimes, it could be your F&R switch isn't making good contact. NOW, IF you have a SERIES drive, on the back side of the F&R switch there is a 9/16" nut in the center (its on the end of the shaft), tighten it up about a 1/4 turn and see if it goes. if not, try another 1/4 turn. |

If it's a series cart suspect the F&R. Inspect it for sings of overheating at wire connections.
Which drive system do you have? see below |

Tightening the nut on the back of the fnr worked (for now). Thanks.
