Default 1979 Ezgo 36v resistor cart cables

Have a 79 that I was about upgrade the cables on. The top thread that has wiring diagrams doesn't match with what I have. For example: the s1 post stamped on the motor is in the middle instead the end of the motor. Existing cables from motor also don't match diagram. Cart works fine the way it is just wondering if anybody has come across this
Thanks

Did you look here? Make sure you are looking at a series resistor wiring diagram. There can be some slight variances but the principle wiring is the same ....Good luck

Search the forum, there is a diagram here. There was one posted just a day or 2 ago.

If cart runs good now, just pull one cable off at a time and rewire with heavier gauge wire. This assures cart will run when you get through. One wire off, new wire installed. Never two wires off at the same time.

Hey Mike, Remember the old VW manual for idiots? You may have just started the Electric cart manual for idots ( like us) with this quote......'Never two wires off at the same time'

Thanks yes i did look
I am talking about the posted diagrams and yes I would do the obvious and replace one at a time. But my question is why is my motor post stamped different then the posted diagrams?

The motor could have been swapped at some point in time. Some of the motors have A's and F's instead of A's and S's
