1996 TXT DCS won't move
1996 TXT DCS 36 volt will not move in either direction. There is no click of the solenoid when I depress the go pedal. I have downloaded the wiring diagrams and a couple of diagnostic procedures for the system but I thought I would ask the forum gurus where would be the best place to start. Battery bank voltage is 36.7. I'm thinking it should be 37.4 or so on a good bank of batteries; but even at this level I think I should get some action on the cart. Thanks in advance. The forum has been a tremendous help in the past.

36 is empty, full is 38.4 so recharge and look at this simple 7 step diagnostic tree.

Re: 1996 TXT DCS won't move
I'm having same problem.... Cart wont move, solenoid wont click, I have 37.5 volts. I ran the 7 test on my 1999 ezgo dcs. Test 5 on blue wire only 26.3 volts... Any advice would be appreciated...

If the Black wire (Test 6) is zero, it indicates the controller is bad or isn't powered up. Verify you have pack voltage on Pins 6, 9 and 10. If you do, the controller is likely to be bad. |

If you are not getting full pack voltage, you are losing it someplace along the line highlighted in red for Test-5. I'd start at the voltage source, the reed switch. Measure the voltage on the smaller of the three coming out of the backside of the charge receptacle, it should be full pack voltage. |

Re: 1996 TXT DCS won't move

Re: 1996 TXT DCS won't move
Okay, if you have pack voltage on Pins 6, 7, 9 & 10, when pedal is pushed, you should get pack voltage on on Pin-5 and Pin-7 should drop to Zero and the solenoid should click. If not, the controller is bad.
