Removing 96 TXT floor mat
Is there a way to twist and fold the floor mat for removal without disconnecting the brake pedal? I've heard people gripe about reconnecting the spring and am hoping to only have to reconnect the spring once if possible.

Another related question. Do the aftermarket diamond plate floors need the OEM thin sheet metal firewall and floor to remain in place? Mine are rusted out in the corners. If I replace the floor and firewall, I can just cut out this mat.

Re: Removing 96 TXT floor mat
You can spin the mat sideways and with some tweaking it will come out

Awesome thanks. Good to know it's possible. Seemed close enough to be possible but I haven't been able to figure it out without feeling like it was about to rip.
