The Universal UBGC8-45968 battery is a sealed (Non-Spillable) requires no addition of water during the life of the battery. The AGM Battery is TRUE DEEP CYCLE can be mounted in any position, requires no maintenance and may be transported by Air or Ground without any special handling regulations. When an AGM battery is charged no hazardous fumes escape the battery case, gases are processed within the battery itself.

Are they any good? They are not cheap, but does it make sense to pay more for a sealed battery?

AGM are really not designed for golf carts.

Its a pretty nice battery "specs wise", and the fullriver agm's i have used seem to last about as long as traditional batteries. The only benefit is maintainence free, no corrosion. With what i have read, agm's should not make a very good golf cart battery, but what i have seen & built, they seem to do just fine.
