ok i HAVE- 50.3 VOLTS-
I am working on a 2003 bad boy buggy- I have juice to the switch, to forward and reverse switch, from the box under the floor that attaches to the accelarator- The volt meter registered 50.3 volts-each battery is between 6.2 and 6.3.
I step on the pedal and it clicks over under the passengers seat-\ are those the Solenoids? how do I check them?- where would I go next? PS I rebuilt the foward reverse switch on our marathon- just like you folks said, Probabley took 1/2 and hour to do and I and my brother in law swear the cart is faster? the serial number is 56632 and the MFG code is 02M89 so does that mean its an 89 Marathon? thanks Chris |

Re: ok i HAVE- 50.3 VOLTS-
That should be a 89.
On the 2003, to check soleniod check 2 small post for voltage, then 2 large. 2 small post should have voltage when you press pedal and hear the click, then with pedal pressed the 2 large should have voltage. If thats good go to speed controller. Check with key on in foward, wheels of ground!! B+ B- full voltage B+ A1(m-) should be 0 then press pedal should go to full voltage. Has to be zero at start. B- A1(m-) should be full voltage and go to 0 when pedal is pressed. |

There was probly a bad connection on one of the contacts and it was fixed during the rebuild. You do not gain extra speed simply by rebuilding the switch, you just fixed what needed fixing. |
