Default 92 ezgo Marathon Problem.

We have a 92 ezgo marathon. We've checked all connecptions and finally got the flat batteries to charge using ezgo charger. Problem is after it says it's fully charged and system has 36V in it, The cart will only work for 10 secs like regular then just looses power gradually and after 20 secs it won't move. But says it still has charge?

Any ideas??

you said its got "36v" in it....is that a reading with a voltmeter? if so....that's why its not running long, as at 36v, the batteries are considered DEAD.....a fully charged 36v pack should have 38.3V

Yep, the 10-led meter takes 6 minutes of driving to register a change of SOC, but you cannot drive 6 minutes because your batteries are wasted.

Just installed 6 new 6v batteries from interstate store in San Bernardino AND.... nothing. Dang. It grunged maybe 2 inches. All connections are hooked up properly....system has 37.9V in it to the solinoid. From there to the controller is 1V and motor 1V. What's next to replace?

first off.....you need to FULLY charge the pack.....plug in the cart and let it go till it automatically shuts off....then unplug it and plug it right back and let it go through another total charge cycle.....even if you get it running, don't drive it until you have fully charged it up and had gone through at least a couple charge cycles.

NOW....when you tried to move it, did the solenoid "CLICK"?
