ez go
To everyone that works on EZ go PDS 36 volt stock (golf) carts.
Men I'm not a professional golf cart tech, but I do work on a few golf cart for the guys I play golf with. I'm running into a lot of cart that stop running or runs intermittently. All of them have the same symptoms. They will just stop. with some of them, you can cycle the run/tow switch and they will run again.and some want. Now for the big question, IF you take JohnnieB and ScottyB check list and you have voltage everywhere that is should be and the solenoid will not click. Is there anything else to check but the controller ??? I have 3 carts that are doing the same thing on these 100 plus days of heat. I know I ask lots of question, but hey, I would like to know. Thanks all Sonny |

Re: ez go
ITS does not have to be working, but microswitch in pedal box does have to be working.

Quote:
The logic diagram for the solenoid activation circuit of a PDS (Curtis 1206MX) 36V controller is a six input AND gate with one of the inputs fed with an OR gate. 1. Reed switch. 2. Key switch. 3. Pedal switch. 4. Run/Tow switch - Logic Power. 5. Run/Tow switch - Auxiliary Power. 6. F/R switch. (Either F OR R selected.) If those six conditions are TRUE, the solenoid should click. If any of the six is FALSE, no click. |

Re: ez go
Mr JohnnieB
All of these switches are working or have the right voltage. This when I back check the voltage at the controller. With this said, Going to change controller. I'll let you know it that fixes the problem. Sonny P.S. Do you think the hot weather is causing me some of the problem I'm having? |

Re: ez go
Replaced controller and thing runs like a top.
I'm going to do the others and see if that is there problems. Hate to throw parts at them, but when all voltages are ok then I think this is the only thing left. Thanks all Sonny |
