Re: Confused, resistor , diode question
One goes across the small terminals, the other goes across the large terminals. I don't remember which goes where, but I do know the direction of the diode is important. The resisitor has no polarity.

Re: Confused, resistor , diode question
The resistor goes accross the large terminals the diode on the smalls....read pages 7,8, & 9 about how and why at Allrax ....http://www.alltraxinc.com/files/Doc1...ns-Learned.pdf

Re: Confused, resistor , diode question
you can tell with the resistor it has ring terminals on the ends for the larger studs, the diodes have no terminals you just bend the ends around the smaller studs and your diode will have a silver band around it towards one end that end must go towards positive side of solenoid............................

Re: Confused, resistor , diode question
Look at the diagram in stickies. Top one it shows you them both. Diode on small terminals, the band on the diode has to be on the + side of the terminal. Juice coming in side. The resister on large.
