Default Rookie needs help

I have a 1998 ezgo electric cart and this morning when driving it just quit lost all power, tried putting it in reverse noticed no reverse alarm, no solonoid click nothing, got it back in the garage charged it for a few hours noticed the charger hadn't kicked off and usually it has after a couple of hours, anyway cart is dead doesn't move nothing so I started messing with stuff , first I jumped the ignition switch with a wire nothing so I hooked it back up, second I went to the reef switch unhooked white wire from red and ran a wire to the positive still nothing's next I took a screw driver and jumped the solonoid, click it was alive the computer light turned green and when I pushed the peddle it moved, noticed when I put it in reverse that the alarm didn't sound till I pushed the pedel so it's still not getting proper power, anyone have any idea what is going on, in a pinch and need to get this fixed, I believe this is a series cart due to no tow switch under the seat, could the gas pedal switch go bad and cause the cart to completely die??

My first thought would be fuse is blown, Especially since jumping the solenoid made everything work.

What's the thought of wiring the ignition switch straight to the solonoid kinda like a car only down fall is I can see by it staying ingaged that it would burn the solonoid out pretty quick

I always forget that my signature is there, so I get thrown off when people actually answer it.

Let's start with the disclaimer. I work on 2 stroke carts, so I don't know exactly where your fuse is.
It could be a black plastic cylinder inline somewhere near the key switch, or it could be in a fuse block somewhere.

I've been studying the wire diagrams, and haven't found one yet. Your reverse buzzer doesn't work, so it is before that.

Your solenoid is continuous duty. I would be more concerned about bypassing the other components before the solenoid only because I'm not sure exactly how it is wired.

With the solonoid jumped with a flat head screw driver forward and reverse and variable speed seem to work fine

I would say stick with JohnnieB in your other thread. He knows more about golf cart wiring than the engineers that designed it. I'm always impressed by his depth of knowledge.

I will be watching your thread with the hopes that JohnnieB will teach me more, and let me know where the fuse is, or if there is one.

Check the microswitches. You have two on the FNR, but only one is necessary for it to run. There is another one in the throttle box. There's also a four wire MOLEX connector that is between the throttle box and the wiring harness.
