Default TXT Roof Support Upgrade?

I would like to upgrade the front roof support on my cart. The stock ones on the TXT seem small and weak. The ones on back are more robust, seem to be similar more to Club Cart front support gauge. Has anyone ever done this upgrade? Can you purchase just the front supports opposed to an entire cage? From a DYI aspect, seems a little complex with angles and specific degree bends on each side. Ideas / feedback appreciated.

They do the job. Keep in mind, if you upgrade to a larger square tube, it will be more difficult to mount a windshield.

Question Re: TXT Roof Support Upgrade?

Windshield, roof, back seat are all concerns with full cage. Sounds like fabrication may me best option for front support only. Any other ideas?

I have been concern with flex in rough terrain and hope to add a safety aspect in case of rollover.

Then you should go with a full cage and keep in mind it is a golf cart.

Grizzly Metal Works (Look at site sponsor's) roll cage.

BTW, I have on hand....just painted but not yet installed a new front brush guard with a winch mount, and a rear "bumper" with a tow receiver. Now, I use my cart for 95% hunting, but I still have the rear seat and seat back that came with it when I purchased it. The seat back and cushy seat will still bolt on to it. I will install this soon, and I will need to pick up a set of seat belts for my grandkids. I don't need 'em rolling off when rounding corners.

I cut the rear seat support when I removed the rear fold down seat as it was nothing more than a PITA when I was hunting. Those "arm whatever's" got hung up in more tree limbs than I can count, and the extended foot rest hung up on more "V" hill bottoms than a burnt out Chinese winch could account for. So.....out comes the HACK SAW!!!

But....the rear seat back and seat will still go back on and for the grandkids....with some seat belts to keep 'em on at a whopping 3 to 7MPH....it's all good!!!

Going from .75" square tube to 1" square tube will serve neither of those ends. A custom bent cage is definitely what you want.

Keep in mind that the front support and the rear support are connected by a hollow plastic roof you can bend in half over your knee. Just sayin'.....
