motor is stuck on input shaft
I was pulling my motor because the input shaft bearing was bad so when I got everything disconnected and tried to pull the motor it wouldn't come off the input shaft. The housing of the motor did come off so now just the armature is on the input shaft and still in the rear end housing. Has anyone had this happen if so let me how you got fixed any help would be great.

Re: motor is stuck on input shaft
You had me going there for a moment, then I realized the rear end of the motor (end cap) came off with the motor housing (Press fit Armature bearing was pulled out of the end cap) and the rear end the armature is still attached to is the differential.
The differential input shaft has male splines and the motor output shaft has female splines. Spray the spline coupling with Kroil (or other penetrating oil) and let it work on the rust for a couple hours. Tapping with hammer may help also. Then carefully wiggle the armature while pulling it away from the differential input shaft. |
