Default Rxv no go

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum so don't bash me too bad! Lol. I've been through almost all 50 pages of the rxv bad brake problem, and I still haven't found what I am looking for specifically. Here's the story... My nephew was driving the cart squirrel hunting. Stomped brakes to chase a squirrel, switched key off and no more go. Had to remove brake from motor to move, tow switch was no help. Guy where I bought it 8 months ago says, "I reckon it's that dang brake thing on the side of the motor locked up. The parts are 289$ but we'll cut ya' a break on the labor.". Long story short, I have 28volts DC at the brake connector, 23ohms across the brake electromagnet, I have tried to operate the cart with brake connected electronically but unbolted, I have disassembled the brake and watched for electromagnet engaging/disengaging, but nothing is happening. Maybe something with a solenoid??? Y'all help me out please, I want to know WHY my cart won't go, instead of " I reckon it's.... "

Hi RXV tech here.
If you read the other RXV related posts, NOT rxv autobrake problems III,
You will find that your description of "stomped on brake - brake stuck on"
is repeated several times.

Most likely problem IS parking/emergency brake on motor.
easy to replace -- follow instructions by CGTECH.

If you need more info- let us know.

Hi tech, I went ahead and tried a new park brake... It changed nothing. Solenoid checks out fine too. Can you tell me how to check the pedal switches? Two switches on each...

When you turn the key switch on I hear the solenoid click twice. Seems like I remember 3 clicks in the past...

Check "run plug" under cup holder.
If loose or missing RXV won't run.

If RXV clicks twice in quick succession when key is turned on, it is detecting a fault.
Does buzzer sound after second click?
If so best course of action is to go and have a repair shop
Connect diagnostic handheld to RXV and get code.

There is no warning buzzer going off, as if you had the throttle pressed a bit then turned key. The reverse buzzer works properly though. I'll have to find a shop that has a scantool for it.

Download the rxv danaher t-shoot guide, and read up. Tons of tests are available to you without a handheld programmer (if you can use a DVM).

I just wanted to keep everyone updated on the RXV. I finally gave up and delivered it to the shop I bought the cart from, the same people who told me that the brake on the motor was definitely the problem. I purchased a parking brake module from them, installed it, and still no go. This dude James called me at 2 this afternoon to tell me that I must have installed the brake incorrectly and "burnt the brake up". Now he asks how I installed it. Disconnect negative terminal, switch to reverse, no buzzer, so no residual power, install brake, switch to off, hook negative terminal up... The guy's response was..."WELL, THERE'S THE PROBLEM! YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO DISCONNECT THE POSITIVE TREMINAL! Thats what the parking brake change video I was sent from ezgo technical support said..." They apparently pay these people to work at battery source. BATTERY SOURCE. What the heck?
