Default 2000 txt more torque

I bought a 2000 txt i was told it was a pds but im now sure its a series cart. Selector switch is beween my legs. Its totally stock. Speed is not a real issue. We are limitted to 10mph at the resort and its checked by radar lol. What im after is a little more hill climbing ability. It slows down quit abit. It carries my wife and my 2 small children. Has a flip rear seat on it. Is there a way with out putting 1k into i? No real big hills just enough to be a pain at times. Thanks for any help.

All carts slow down on hills. First thing I'd check are the batteries. What is their age? Different manufacturers place this info on different places. Check battery water levels. Check voltage of each battery and the whole pack, 12 hours after completion of charging.

Some of the early 2000 PDS carts had the F/R lever by the driver's knee.

If there is a Run/Tow switch on the controller cover, it is a PDS.

Like yurtle said, check the batteries.

Also, any high current cable that gets more than slightly warm is wasting electrical energy that ought to be going to the motor. A 2000 TXT probably has 6Ga cables and they all should be 4Ga or thicker. (A series cart has 13 and a PDS has 10)

Since you are limited to 10MPH, you could gain some uphill performance by installing shorter tires. Stock tire height is 18" and anything taller than that reduces the torque available where rubber meets road while tires shorter than 18" increase the available torque. My 17" tires increases the torque available for acceleration and hill climbing by 6%.

Batteries are a year old trojans the water level is good i will have to check voltage tomorrow. Is it worth replacing the battery and motor cables? I'll look at tires tonight. Thanks
