Default DCX 400 / Spicer - Open Field, but tries to go...

Alright, I have read through most of, if not all, the posts regarding DCX 400 and "cart not moving", as well as "Open Field" indications.

I bought a used golf cart and it has run perfectly for about a week. It is now failing and seems to be showing an "Open Field" error at the DCX 400.

Cart:
  • EZ-GO TXT Modified
  • 36V - 2007 Chasis / 2013 modified lift with 23 x 10.5 12
  • Purchased in July 2015 Used
  • DCX 400 / Solenoid / Batteries (6 months old)
  • Spicer Motor
  • "0" Gauge Wires (at least that is what the guy told me)

Issues / Indicators:
  • Cart intermittently goes, but is not moving at all now
  • DCX 400 light goes from green on power to solid red (when accelerator is depressed - F or R) then 5 consecutive red flashes (is this 5 or 6?)
  • When this happens cart slightly jumps like it "wants" to move, but then goes dead
  • This seems to indicate an Open Field issue, but I am confused about the cart actually trying to move

Actions:
I have checked the major failure points of wire chaffing and all wires seem to be wrapped.

So, my question to you guys is...
Have you heard of this exact issue before and if so, what is my next step... Would I proceed with a motor uninstall and post/coil inspection, rebuild or replacement?
I am sure there are some suggestions....

If it is 5 Red, it is the Open Field error and if it is 6 Red, it is low voltage, so check them both.

Open Field:
Unplug the F1 and F2 cables at the controller and measure between the cables
with an Ohmmeter. Should be around 5Ω or less.

Low Voltage:
Put cart on jackstands with rear tires off ground so half ton cart doesn't take off unexpectedly and run over someone or something.

Connect voltmeter between B- and B+ terminals on top of controller.

What is voltage when Error code is flashing?

Also, connect a laptop to the DCX controller and see what the Under Voltage slider is set for. (Should be about 27V for a 36V system)

-------------
I'm not familiar with a "Spicer" golf cart motor. What is the motor's model number and any other information printed on the label affixed to the motor.

Checked everything and all measured fine.

Reconnected all terminals and made sure they were tight. The cart worked fine for a while, but the charge/power terminal loosened and it started registering 6 blinking lights again.

Tightened battery nut and it worked again. I put blue loctite on it this time.

Has any one added self locking nuts?
