Is it worth it?
Is this worth the money or is it too far gone to make a good project? Would I be better off spending more for a complete cart and making upgrades? I am looking to end up with a lifted 48 volt electric hunting cart. Thanks for the help.

Re: Is it worth it?
For $250 I would jump on that. I found my cart in the woods and I have replaced the motor, batteries, all wiring, controller, soleniod and upgraded the f&r switch to HD. I had fun doing all the upgrades.

Re: Is it worth it?
your link didn't work but I found it .....http://kansascity.craigslist.org/rvs/933248730.html ...... I think $250 is high. Not only is it missing all the stuff he listed but the battery trays as well and I'm not sure but maybe the motor? That would be a deal breaker at any price. And whoever spray painted it cut it 's value in half....So $125. IF ...... the motor is there. Otherwise forget it.....

I don't think its a good project for a new carter who doesn't have the know how or someone who doesn't have massive amounts of time. EVERYTHING is missing from the cart. Thats one of those projects where you have to order parts 100 times to get everything you need...and you still don't have everything to finish. It would be OK if you had a parts cart to do a transplant....but if you had a parts cart you might as well fix the parts cart. There is more missing than what he has listed.....theres no floomat, no rocker panels, batt tray, throttle peddle assembly is missing, no splash panels on each side, no inner fender wells, no bumpers....probly the ITS, F/R and all hardware, no seats, seat backs...its all gone. The only thing there is a the brake pedal, body, rear diff and the steering.

Re: Is it worth it?
Keep looking. I found my cart, a 1998 1200g workhorse for $400.00. A great price for a complete cart that ran and needed only a main seal on the motor. You'll know when it's a good deal.....it will be when you don't have to ask.

Re: Is it worth it?
Looks like a lot of work. I just bought a 95 ez go for $500. All I had to do was replace two battery cables and it runs great. I took a big chance because it was not running at the time I bought it. I got lucky. It is my understanding that people make good money by restoring/upgrading these cars. I have talked to a couple and they basically throw away everything you have there because they don't need it. You basically have a frame and what is left of a body. It would be worth it if all you needed was a body because these people just throw them away. You are going to put more into it than you can ever get back.
