differences between models
So I have an 86 and a 94 ezgos.. i want to know if any of the differences that they made to the 94 compared to the 86 that make it a better cart?? like as far as frame build, front suspension, rear suspension layout, braking system go...i know there is a better aftermarket for the later models but im not worried about that right now.. im still trying to decide how i want to make one cart out of 2.. both carts are unique to me, so any help is appreciated ...

Re: differences between models
I'm not 100% sure but.....I think if you lift the seats you will find resistor coils under one and Possibly, a controller under the other? ? What do you see? They are both 'marathon' cart. So aftermarket parts would be the same.

Re: differences between models
my 86 is a reistor cart and my 94 is actually a 94.5 so that makes it a medalist if what i have read so far is correct.. the 94 IS/WAS a controller cart but all that is long gone.. the front suspension/steering is completely different, along with the frame , and how the rear suspension mounts to the frame.

Re: differences between models
Whatever you do, build your cart off of the newer frame mainly for parts availability. Making one cart from two different models is like making one cart from an ezgo and a yamaha. Bad idea...

Re: differences between models
ahh icic, well this sure is a pickle.. there are only 2 major things the 94 needs that i really dont want to pay for.. a steering box and seat assembly.. everything else i could retro fit from the 86..

Re: differences between models
If it is all about the costs then the decision should make itself
Have you tested the conrtoller? |

Re: differences between models
it doesnt have a controller.. all that is gone.. like i mentioned earlier its just a body and frame with front suspension.. my 86 is a complete cart, minus batteries... its just the body is ugly and the frame is by far seen better days. but then again its only rusty in the battery tray area, so i was thinking of cuttin the batt try out of the 94 and puttin er in the 86.. sell off the front suspension and use the front cowl off the 94 and use it on the 86..so all ill be left with is a frame with no batt tray and rear body...
