curtis controller
Hi im new here just picked up a 98 ezgo for $200 It has a curtis 1205-117 controller. I have been reading that it is a 400 amp controller. So is that enough controller to put a 6 inch lift with 14 inch rims and low profile tires and back seat.20150730_194945.jpg

Re: curtis controller
Stock "heavy duty 400a" controller had heat issues. The more times it was heated, the easier it went into thermal overload (reduced output). It will do what you want, but it will eventually start slowing after long rides, then do it more often.

Re: curtis controller
Alltrax SPM 400 or 500 work great in there. Your cart should already be equipped with 4ga cables, and HD "white-rogers" solenoid. Factory F&R was still "normal", not HD.

Re: curtis controller
I have already replaced the hd solenoid. I assume the motor can handle a new controller

Re: curtis controller
The SPM is nice, a bit high in price compared to like the AXE series controllers. I used a AXE4844 alltrax in mine and it was flawless. Also seen the 4844 in extremely high speed carts that ran almost 30mph.

Re: curtis controller
I just installed the hd solenoid. This cart has mad torque in forward and reverse. Made me spill my beer
