Electric ezgo died. Sugguestions please
Purchased a used 88\89 ezgo electric cart in June. Put new batteries in 2 months ago. Got out of the cart to hit the ball, got back in and it wouldn't move. No hum, no nothing. The radio works. Anyone have some quick thoughts on the possible problem. No thought about maybe getting screwed when I bought the durned thing, that's water under the bridge.

Yes, who put the batteries in it?
Who does the maintenance on the cart? |

I put the batteries in, taking one out at a time and replacing them, I do the maintence. All batteries have water over the plates, roughly 1/4 inch. Connections are clean and tight.

OK, let's start with getting some more information.
What type of electrical system i.e. controller or resistor? Does solenoid click? What are the battery voltages? Pack and individual. Does the FNR switch show any signs of heat? Have you checked all the micros? How is the radio connected to power? |

Hmmm, I'll have to get out to the cart shed and so some checking on all these items. Snowed last night so it'll wait a few days. Hopefully warm up some too. Thanks for the ideas to check on.

I talked with my friend, says it has a controller, no resistor. He's one sharp mechanic, so I don't doubt him. Haven't been to the shed cause of the snow, might try and get out there tomorrow for a closer look at my wonderful purchase.
