Bench testing

I have the motor, controller, FR and solenoid pulled out of a cart. How can I bench test these to see if everything is going to work? Pulled from a cart with bad batteries that had been sitting in a field.

You can not bench test a motor out of the cart. You will damage it. The front bearing is in the rear end of the cart so there is nothing to support the armature when the motor is out of the cart.

Pretty much you a golf cart not a bench to test this stuff. There is just so many components that work in conjunction with one another here.

I bench test motors all the time. There are diagrams all over the place that show you how to do so. Just don't blast it with full power and go, do it as recommended in those diagrams. Controllers I don't bench test, I test in the cart. F/R switches you can generally look at and see if they are burnt or if the springs in the cam are rusted and failing or if there is space between the stud from the came and the board. Solenoids are also generally tested in cart as it's just that easy.

Show me the motor bench test diagram, please.

Bench testing a golf cart motor out of the cart does serious damage to it. There is no front bearing to support the armature! Do not do it! You can test it when it's installed in the rear end with wheels off the ground but don't put power to it on the bench.

This is the ONLY way to bench test a golf cart motor. It MUST be bolted to a rear end. I have a setup made just for this. Past that you need to put it back in the cart to test.
