What head unit to get?
I am looking for suggestions about which radio/head unit to get. I am changing my dash to one that is precut for a single DIN size.
Do most people install regular car stereos....or do you go with the marine versions? I don't plan on it getting wet, but it could happen during washing or if I get caught in a rain storm. Seems like there is much larger selection of non-marine versions. My only requirements are:
Thanks for your input! |

Re: What head unit to get?
You don't mention a price range. But if I were building a cart again, I'd go with a sound bar. Easier to wire up & frees the dash up for other things. Wetsounds has a really nice one.

Re: What head unit to get?
I did the Poly Planar ME60BT Bluetooth unit with amp. I then used the EZGO factory speaker pods with 6.5" Kicker speakers. The pods mount just under the dash in the front by your feet. The sound is pretty good. Not overpowering. I ordered the wake tower style speakers for it, but the wife "decided" she didn't like them.lol. I just listed them in the classifieds section here.
