Default 98 TXT EZGO Help With BAtteries & Charger

Just went out to put our 98 EZGO on the battery charger and discovered the
key was left in the on position. The cart has set for 2 maybe 3 weeks with the charger not connected. There is no power when I turn the key on and
depress the foot pedal. The charger will not come on. I have tested the
outlet with another devise and it works. I believe the batteries have to have
some power in them to start the charger. Would the batteries by drained
by the key being left on? I will check the batteries with a meter to see
if there is any juice left in them.

You are correct, there must be some 26 or so volts in the pack to activate the EZGO charger. Put a 12 volt charger on two at a time and get them back up to proper charge, then re-connect the entire pack before you start your testing for what might or might not have been burnt out.
