Default Ez-Go Shuttle 6 not moving HELP!

I have a EZ-Go shuttle 6 with a Curtis 1264-5407 controller. The cart wont move. everything comes on and even in run mode you can push the cart and the regen braking comes on. The weird thing is if you switch from run->Tow then back the cart will run for 2-3 sec then the solenoid will dis-engage. The controller will flash 5-5 meaning a solenoid issues, however I tested it and it works fine no issues. I did notice the if I put a DVM between the feed from the controller to engage the solenoid I get nothing. I check the ITS/pedal switch and all other voltages are good. I am thinking a bad controller at this point, any suggestions?

5-5 = "Missing Contactor", but I'm not sure how the controller determines the presence of the solenoid.

If I understand the symptoms correctly, the solenoid clicks when you push the cart by hand (Walkaway safety), but does not click when pedal is pushed.

If so, we know the solenoid coil is good and the controller can energize the solenoid.

That means either the pedal switch isn't telling the controller to energized the solenoid, or the controller is not energizing the controller when told to do so by the pedal switch.

The pedal switch is connected between J1 Pins 6 & 8. I'm not sure which is the voltage source, but one of the two should have pack voltage on it all the time while the other only has pack voltage on it when pedal is pushed. If that is what you get, the controller isn't doing what it is being told to do, so it is bad.

When you push the cart in "RUN" mode the re-gen kick in. But no solenoid. its weird because I can disconnect the wires from the controller blue/yel to the solenoid and give it battery power it engages but then I get a 5-2 for welded solenoid error. Either way cart not moving. I check the pedal switch its good and also the ITS no problems. SO it looks like the controller is not giving power to the solenoid, but when I toggle the tow/run it will power it up for a couple of sec. Go figure! Also I tried taking the two big leads on the solenoid and place them together essentially the same as engerzie the solenoid and when I tried hooking up my battery back up I got a real bad arch. Just does not make sense! unless the controller is actually shot. Just don't want to dump $500 into a controller and that's not the issue.
