Does the solenoid click when you press the pedal?

Make sure battery + voltage is getting through the big terminals on the solenoid when the pedal is depressed. Secure the cart from sudden unexpected movement while probing around. Others here are more help than me but they will want this information to help you troubleshoot. Why did you replace all these parts? Was the cart not running before?

THANKS. CUSTOMER SAID HE CHANGED OUT SOLENOID. NO READING OFF SOLENOID TEST. WILL INSTALL NEW SOLENOID.

HIS CONTROLLER WAS BAD SO WE REPLACED IT AND THE F&R SWITHCH WAS NOT MAKING CONTACT.

WE WILL LET YOU KNOW WHEN WE GET THE NEW SOLENOID ON.

THANKS AGAIN,

ROY

Did both sides of solenoid big terminals have no voltage or just the output side? Is there a resistor across the big terminals and if so when the pedal is pressed what voltage appears on both sides. If the solenoid is new and properly installed another one may not fix problem.

do you think the motor is the issue?

You are not answering my questions about the solenoid voltage across the large terminals. We need more information. You need to get someone else to help you. JohnnieB comes highly recommended.

Sorry i did not answer your questions earlier.

solenoid test
Quote:
Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery. remove all wires, restorer , and diode from solenoid
test 1
Connect an volt meter, set on continuity, place on the two large terminal studs. The meter should indicate no continuity, Replace the solenoid if continuity is present.
test 2
Using jumper wires attach from main positive and main negative of battery pack to the two small solenoid studs, polarity is not important. You should hear a click as the solenoid engages, and the meter should indicate continuity on the two large terminals. Replace the solenoid if continuity is not present.
if solenoid clicks rapidly solenoid is bad
