Default 2008 EZGO RXV Won't Move

Bought it with this issue hoping it's a DIY fix.

Batteries have 48 volts. Solenoid clicks once when you turn the key. Reverse buzzer works. Will not roll unless brake is manually disengaged, even in N with switch on tow/maintenance.

Took brake off, cleaned it all up and it looks fine. Cart doesn't go with brake on or off, engaged or manually disengaged.

I am not sure where to even check to see what's wrong. Hoping I can diagnose the problem and don't have to take it to a shop!

Thanks!

Hi.
RXV tech here.

Brake has lever to disengage?
If yes. Parking/emergency brake is probably failure point.

Just a few quick checks will help.

1). Put cart in Tow
2). Turn key to "N"
Does cart push easily ?

If NO.
Turn key off
Locate 2 wire connection to parking brake on drivers side of motor
Unplug connection turn key to "N" while still in tow.
Check for 48v at connection.
If voltage is there, replace parking/emergency brake.
Use new brake from EZ-GO.
Beware eBay parts for this repair.

Please post results of test and or resolution
Will be here if you need help.

P. S. If brake needs replacement, let us know before you replace.

Tried tow maintenance mode and neutral, does not move. It has 48 volts at the connector at the brake.

Will order a brake and see if that fixes it.

Brake will fix it. Get a new one from a reputable source (no, ebay is not reputable).

Any recommendations on where to purchase? Ezgo website only shows 09 and newer brake.

All RXV will take the newer brake. The older "lever style" brake is no longer available.

Replaced brake with new brake from ezgo. Still won't do anything at all. Buzzer sounds for reverse, other than that nothing at all. Batteries show 48 volts on the money.

Any ideas what I can check now?

Charge the batteries, they should not be "spot on 48v", they should be 50-51v. Check the small blue wire at charge port (charge port side of plug on blue wire) , should have power when charger is not plugged in.

47.2 to blue wire. 48.1 to batteries. Have been on charger 24 hours or so.

If that tests good, disconnect batteries, follow main negative wire to controller, then disconnect the small wire from that terminal, reconnect everything else and try to run it. If this gets you running, the resistor control module is bad.
