Off Topic - Lithium Ion Batteries
This isn't buggy related, but there is such a wealth of knowledge here, I hope it's OK.
My son has gone through half a dozen batteries on his $1k+ Dell laptops. Is there any way to save, or extend the life, or is it just a fact of life that a Lithium battery only lasts 2 years? He only buys Dell OEM professional - not consumer - grade stuff. thanks |

Re: Off Topic - Lithium Ion Batteries
Lithium batteries last the shortest time if they are kept fully charged or discharged. Most folks tend to leave their laptops plugged in and that keeps the battery fully charged - thus reducing the battery life. Many laptops are very hard on batteries.
