Default Rear disc brakes not returning

Got a set of the rear disc breaks, ordered up from Scotty B. They've be great, but for some reason, now they aren't returning after the brake pedal is released. In other words, the brake pads rub/still have pressure on the discs. This started happening after I put new shocks and HD leaf springs on the rear. Not sure if that just coincidence, or what. Anyways, I did go back and adjust the brakes after the new springs. I been playing with that adjustment to trouble shoot. Now I got them loosened up to where they just grab when I press the brakes down, at the end of the pedal travel,
but still doesn't fully release at the caliper.

Anybody ever run into this before? I'm thinking of greasing the pins the calipers slide on or something to help with the binding, but am apprehensive.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you talking about hydraulic or cable actuated brakes?

They're cable.

Did you replace the cables? They may not be as free-sliding as they used to be.

I know.. Also, are the cables stretched "spuer-tight"? (like the whole cable is not long enough)

They aren't tight, at least rnot right now. But sounds like this is common, and the fix is to replace the cables. I'll try that. Thanks for the advice.

Out of curiousity, has anyone had this problem/seen this problem before with the rear disc brakes getting stuck? I ask, because its interesting that this happened right after I installed the HD rear leaf springs. Plus, with the cables being realy loose, I don't understand why the return spring wouldnt be able to relieve the pressure on the calipers.

Anyone have to lube the slider pins or something like that on there kit? (I am looking for the easy stuff to rule out before I go and replace the cables. Although they are about $55, I just spent a couple of hundred on the springs, LEDS, shocks, and some other minor stuff, and I am trying to avoid the discussion with the wife of having to spend more......unless I have too......

My experience has been that brake cables are extremely frustrating. A few years ago I decided to try a set of hydraulic discs and I’m so happy that I did. I’m sorry you are experiencing difficulties. Good luck.

Can you take the cables off the cart and squirt some spray lube like tri-flo do in there working them back and forth like you would do on bike cables or a motorcycle clutch cable?
