Default Can't Remove The Motor Amature 04 TXT

Im working on a buddy of mines 2004 TXT that stopped working and I traced it down to non-existent motor brushes as they are down to a centimeter and two of the brushes wires were hanging in there touching the bracket that the brushes sit on.

I got the new brushes in, but one of the brackets is wobbly and not making contact with the communicator which means im not getting continually on A1 and A2 terminals. I do get continually if I turn the motor or touch the armature slightly.

So I may need a new bracket that holds the brushes, but I can not get the armature out for anything. I don't see any snap rings. There are two small bolts that hold the brush bracket in, but that doesn't remove the core. Any help is greatly appreciated.

It's a stock fleet speed Advanced D.C. Motors Part #'s 73445G01 A02-4012

I made do and drilled out the rivets and put screws and got the motor to show continuity.

I put it all back in and the golf cart still won't move. Solenoid clicks and no motor working. Im not getting any voltage on the larger posts on the solenoid with the pedal pressed or not.

Im about to make this thing gas powered and hot :D IDK what the previous owner did to this poor thing.

Bad connection in the motor brushes can take out a controller when they make partial contact.

Dang. I don't want it to be true :( He's not going to spend the money for a new one. Might as well sell it for parts.

I got the motor working by using a car battery. I have the service manual and I tested the accelerator ITS, switch and everything is in the voltage range.

Tried jumping the two larger posts on the solenoid and motor doesn't turn. I read to do that on another cart forum. I removed the resistor and diode so it didn't burn that up.

In the repair manual i followed the steps in testing the non-PDS ESC and I everything checks out til step 48. Check voltage between battery B- and orange controller wire. which gives me 0 volts. Then the next step says to check for electrical shorts or mechanical obstructions.

If it's not the controller (i hope not, probably is because I should of gotten volts on that orange wire) it could be a bad solenoid or something in the F/R assembly. Next thing I want to do is remove the F/R assembly

Got it working :D Took out the F/R assembly and it was full of gunk that I wasn't getting full contact on the copper studs. Cleaned it up, tested the switches and put it back in. Either that, or it decided to work.
