Cart model question
I'm in a bit of a quandary, the cart I purchased used had the information tag removed. I know it is an EZGo and it is a PDS because the F/R switch is on the dash and it's 36 volts. Other than that how can I know which year it was made? It's the cart in my signature. I'm only guessing that it's an 2009 model but I would like to be sure.

Re: Cart model question
Didn't know there was such a thing. I assume this can be found on the motor. Is it in some sort of code?

Was there an underlying reason the tag was removed? I remember reading a while back of a member buying what turned out to be a stolen cart and he didn't discover until after he had upgraded several things.
Hopefully not, but in this day I would want sn everywhere (even though his was still marked) |

Re: Cart model question
Up to 2004 Ezgo put a metal tag in the passenger glove box. In 2005 the tag became a label attached in 3 places as follows...
On the crossrail under the seat behind the batteries. Under the charge port. On the frame rail under the cart on the drivers side. |

Re: Cart model question
Thanks ScottyB!
Although it does bring up another question; I can see where the tag was removed by the previous owner. It was located in the passenger side dash compartment. That would imply a 2004 or older model. Is there anywhere else to look for carts 04' and older? |

Re: Cart model question
Steering was moved from firewall to front axle in 2001.5
Some tags were sold on a black market for NEV and off road registration. |

Re: Cart model question
Thanks Crash, I did look and the date on the sticker says 8/2/07. Is it safe to assume the cart is an 07' model?
Advanced motors & drives is the manufacturer of the motor. Is this the brand ez go uses on their carts? The rating is AU2500 FLT SPD. What does this translate to? |
