Default Body Work - Holiday Project

I am getting ready to start a Batmobile build for my kids. Cart is an 02 PDS. Body is coming off and will paint it black. I have the EZGO rivit kit but remember having difficulty with the larger rivots while working on my Series cart. Can someone provide details or a link for the correct rivot gun to use. I do have an air compressor if there is a better air option.

Thanks and Merry Chritmas

HF sells a fairly inexpensive pneumatic rivet gun which has 3 size collars. It's a bit bulky and often requires 2 hands depending upon the position but it is infinitely easier (and stronger) than doing this by hand

Your other option is to use bolts in place of the big rivets. Thats what I did. It will be eazier to do the next time.

Made some good progress with my build today. Weather in Maryland is crazy, working outside in a T-shirt on Christmas Eve? A few picks with the body off. I am very happy with the condition of the cart. Very little rust, no major concerns others than the leak between the motor and the rear end. I have no idea how long this condition has been like this. There are no drips on the concrete under the cart. Anyone have experience with this type of leak? Best way to remedy?

A few more pics with everything cleaned up. Installed new shock bushings all the way around. Replaced the boot at the end of the rack and pinion. Replaced the front cowl that covers the front suspension.

10" black steel wheels with chrome center caps and lugs and turf tires ordered and should be a few days from arrival. Ordered 4g cable set and DVM from Scotty last night. Will wait for these items to arrive before body goes on.

Setting up my make shift paint booth tomorrow.

Merry Christmas everyone!

You would have to pull the motor off the rear end, and remove the input shaft, and bearings, and replace the seal to stop the oil between the motor and rear end

Rib - thanks for the insight. Sounds like a ton of work, worst case if I elect not to repair the leak? Only way to monitor the oil level is to take the pan off - correct?
