Default 94.5 ezgo upgrade

I upgraded the motor to 8 hp & controller to a 500amp G E, also H D solenoid it,s a 36 volt series system,I still don't have any up hill torque.Any ideals on the cause. this is my first post so hope i doing it right.

What shape are your batteries in? How old?
What about your cables?
F/R switch?
What is the RPM rating of the new motor?

sorry it took awhile to answer,but batts. 2 yrs. old 4gauge cables,f&r hadn't been upgraded,1600rpm.Batt. pack voltage is 37.4 on controller side of soleniod it is 27 volts with key on & in forward,i heard it was suppose to be the same as batt. pack

Are you measuring 27 volts with the solenoid engaged?

I don't believe it's engaged,it was a test it showed in the manual

also you can take the orange wire off the f & r switch & it runs the same, as with the resistor taken off,it doesn't make any diff.
