Default LED bulb replacement

so I got some adjustable lights from everything carts a few years ago when I was building up my cart. led wasn't known ( to me at least ) back then. Now its like the in thing for the most part. Anyway I got some bulbs from ebay, they were H3's and got them installed tonight. Look ok from what I can tell but its raining so I haven't done a road test and I tried to take a pic but it ends up being 1 big flash of light. These aren't the annoying super bright bulbs that blind you but I hope they do have a decent output. Also the seem close to the lens and even after 10 or so minutes the lens is still cool to the touch.

Look forward to hearing your review. I have these same headlights and wanted to change mine out too. Were the bulbs much trouble to swap out?

not really considering you have to pretty much break down the entire light assembly. it could be done in 30 or so minutes

Would these bulbs (or similar LED bulbs) drop into an RXV with stock light kit?

I guess it would as long as you got the correct bulb size

I think the stock RXV headlight uses a 37 watt bulb with a 886 base. That being said there are a lot of bulbs out there that will fit that socket and are leds. I am still trying to figure out the wattages. A led should put out more light at a lower current draw but not sure how to read some of these listings.. A 37 watt halogen pulls roughly 3 amps at 12 volts. Is a 37 watt led going to do the same or is that a comparison of the light output ?

I would also switch to LED if there was reliable info regarding light output. I see prices all over the map for a simple H3 bulb. It's a freaking industry standard! Every foglight in the world uses them. Which ones work???
