I just bought a 05 ez go 36 volt how to get a speed upgrade, it is stock. the f/r lever is between passagers behind knees with no switch on controller cover is it a TXT, Series,Pds???. Cart is at hunt camp and dont have #'s availabe. new to carts and read about 48 v upgrade. Welcome!

The cart you bought is a Series/Fleet cart and is easily upgraded in stages. What is your final plan for the cart?

so 48 v,controller first followed by 48 v motor still on 36 volt. Then as money is available 48v solinoid ,batterys and then charger? sound expensive about how much?? I want a little more speed and some more torque. 20 mph would be good. I'll probley sell it and buy another CC it just seems so much easier. I paid $1800 for ez go

Extended low speeds of a 36v resistor coils cart on 48v can result in meltdown of all the electrical components...This works for off roading or any kind of driving where you can run WOT but, not so well for putting or creeping around.

Is there anything than other WOT??? Just use on flat, unused logging roads.

Scotty, as the thread name implies, this is a 2005 cart. No resistor coils present.

Pay attention, or I shall be forced to taunt you a second time!
