Default Rear seat platform trailer hitch reinforcement

I know there's a thread or two with a custom/necessitative solution or two for reinforcing the rear seat platform hitches, which of course bolt only to the platform making them weaker than ideal. Those have required welding extensions, etc, which for the average fellow is getting too involved, so I wanted to throw my rig up here for those less ambitious like me

This 1.5" 14g perforated steel tube from Lowe's http://www.lowes.com/pd_103637-37672...d=3049417&pl=1 provides significant reinforcement. My 190lbs standing on it would deflect the rear platform an inch or so, and with this bolted up as shown there's no discernible platform deflection, just suspension drop.

I cut the tube to length so it extends into the hitch receiver just short of the pin hole. The draw bar, being open on the rear, extends past the end of the tube which 'plugs' into the draw bar, tightening things up.

The cargo area bolting will be cleaned up (looks a bit shite ), and a horizontal bolt or two through the hitch receiver lined up to pass through the holes in the tube will improve it yet.

I like the reinforcement idea.
I was concerned about deflection on mine even before I bolted it up. (in transit via UPS)

It will deflect Really, its not terrible depending on what you're pulling/tongue weight of course. I'll be doing kid hayrides 3-5x/yr and didn't like the deflection under those loads so needed something easy that didn't involve welding or was costly. This is cheap, easy and effective.

Where did you bolt the 1.5” tube to on cart. I see you put it through the hitch and then bolted it to someplace I have a 2015 Club Car Precedent.

Thank you
