Default Watts and Amp question

If I have one of these lights on my cart... Can someone help me understand how many watts, amps the bulb uses?

Not sure what 26.88/6.72 watts actually means?

Or for amps... 2.1/0.48 amp ??

#2057 Miniature Bulb Bay15d Base - 12.8/14.0 Volt 2.1/0.48 Amp 26.88/6.72 Watt S-8, Double Contact (DC) Index Bayonet (BAY15d) Base, C-6/C-6 Filament Design.

Dual Element Bulb generally used in tail lights that function as both running and brake/turn etc.

6.72 watts @ .48 amp is the dimmer running element.

and

26.88 watts @ 2.1 amp is the brighter turn/brake element.

I'm gonna guess the 2.1 amp rating is the startup draw and that is the rating that matters concerning the fuse size. When using two of these bulbs figure at least a 5 amp fuse for that circuit, but I would use a 10 amp fuse anyway.

regular lamps are never rated for their inrush (startup) current. It is way higher but very short in duration.
