Tying into ignition wire question
very new to wiring a cart, so I feel pretty dumb asking this.....
Have a 2004 TXT and I am going to install a Bluetooth unit (http://www.kicker.com/40PXIBT502) and speakers. The unit has a wire labeled "ignition input" I am assuming this is so it turns off when the cart is off. Where would I find the wire to connect this to? Thanks, Jason |

Re: Tying into ignition wire question
Hot wire on the key switch. Be sure to get the hot wire that comes on when you turn the key on and off when key is off

Re: Tying into ignition wire question
Oh yeah? The keyswitch works @ 36v. That ought to do great things for the (12v powered) amp . The best option is a seperate switch from your 12v source. The factory-lights equipped txt's have 12v at the key switch for the third "lights on" position, but i assume you dont want to only use the tunes at night.

Re: Tying into ignition wire question
I took the cup holder out and unscrewed the ignition and saw two wires connected to it. Is one of these what I am looking for?
Read somewhere about a red wire that may be the ignition? Thanks |
