very old marathon motor wiring
Hello first post have old ezgo with motor going front to back it has the brakes at the rear of the motor not the axle cart was given to me wires were removed I think I have it wired right but im not sure about the motor can any one tell me which wire is A1 , A2 , S1 , S2, on the motor Not sure of exact year. or tell me how to check if the motor is shorted out will go forward but not revers

If it will go forward it will go in reverse, nothing wrong with the motor other than being old and worn. Do you have 2 connections running parrallel with the motor and then the other 2 perpendicular? Or better yet, take a picture and post it.

I had one like it a while back , gave it to my nephew it was a 1970 model
the frame under the seat came up and squared down - no arch . I never tested mine got it in a trade and had no batteries in it . |

it has 4 in a row running perpendicular with the motor just trying to fix for and old man that crashed his ran away on him hit tree

I think the wires are good at the f/r switch. Used the old wiring diagram. just not sure at the motor what lug is A1,A2,S1,S2

I thought it would be stamped. It may be under the 40 Years of paint. Time for some paint striper wire brush and sand paper. Just thought someone might know.
