You have a dead 98 Series/Fleet cart that cannot sound a reverse alarm, and the spark may have taken out the Reed switch in the cart charge receptacle. This switch can be easily bypassed and cart may run.

The reverse alarm doesn't work. My head lights work and the 12 volt horn works. The power seems to be stopping by a fuse or something before it can reaches a switch-board or the brain or whatever makes the cart run.

Disconnect Main Pack Cables before working on the cart.
The Reed switch is a safety interlock the prevents the cart from moving when the charger is plugged in. It looks like this:

The Reed switch is the small component with the white/red wire. Disconnect the Reed circuit connector and jump a wire from the connector to A (+pos).

Let Me Get This Right. Take The Small Red Wire Off And Take A Jumper Wire And Connect The Black And White Wires Together?

NO.

Undo the insulated pink connector in the photo. Run a jumper wire from the screw on the large white wire in the cart charge receptacle to the small red wire part of the pink connector that runs back towards the battery pack.

Jeff, in his picture there is a spade connector under the letters "con" unplug that and touch it to the pos.
