No power but batteries charged
I have a 1982 ergo 36 volt golf cart that has fairly new batteries all are charged, was driving it and it just died. Pushed it home hooked up charger, it was charged, replaced selinoid and resistor coil and no movement it just sits there. Please help, I am not too savvy with these electric carts. What else do I need to replace or check?

Yes it clicks, and I just changed it. Also changed the resistor coil too. And still nothing.

Re: No power but batteries charged
If the solenoid is working it should be sending power to the resistor pack. Give a pull and twist to every cable end in the cart... maybe one is barely hanging on = not enough connection to pass current. Or maybe a resistor coil is burnt in two?

Re: No power but batteries charged
I will give that a try. It maybe later due to the fact it is pouring rain at the moment. The resistor is brand new as well as solenoid. But I will check all wires and get back with you. Thanks

Re: No power but batteries charged
1982 Ezgo has a rack of resistor coils in a tin box between the batteries. Check all the cable connections. Wiggle the F&R.

Re: No power but batteries charged
Then I might be wrong about the year it is, I've tried to look up with serial number but no go. My serial number is: 82A10245404 maybe you might know what year. But when the rain lets up I will check all wires and F&R switch. Thanks again

Re: No power but batteries charged
The serial number was not found on Ezgo website. The last 2 digits of the manufacture code is the year the cart was made. Check that.

Re: No power but batteries charged
Yes I've gone to that site, the best I can tell is that is is a solid metal body built sometime between 82-89. So with what I have found figured 82. So far I have t found any loose wires, but not done yet, will keep you posted.

Re: No power but batteries charged
Checked all the wires all seem good, have total of 38 volts, solenoid clicking. Nothing. I do believe now after further investigation my cart is a 1989. New resistor. Wired correct. What else could it be? Help. Need my cart to run.
