Battery Rack removal
so I've searched and read the recent posts about this but I have this cross bar with a plate welded to it. is this a normal piece on a 96 txt?? The round tube goes to the front of the frame under the seat. The flat plate is welded to the tube and runs across to the other side to a similar tube. the plate is under the back side of the front seat. Sorry the pic is upside down, all that I post are like this for some reason. I'm going to cut the tray out but not sure how I'm gonna fit a new one in with this piece in the way.

Re: Battery Rack removal
I havent done many of these but am working on a 96 right now. I took the entire assembly out as a piece. Had to remove the body to do so. Likely youll have to as well.

Re: Battery Rack removal
even removing the body isn't going to get this bar/ plate out of the way. is this a standard part of the cart or an add on? if its an add on I'm cutting it out....

I can't tell much by your picture, but it don't look like anything I've ever seen on a txt. The weld doesn't look original either.

Re: Battery Rack removal
I'll take a better one tomorrow and post. Hopefully I can get the entire battery area.

Re: Battery Rack removal
It is an unusual, but factory part only used for one or 2 years. It is a support for the seat.
