Default Thoughts on 2012 48V TXT $3200

Greetings! Any thoughts on purchasing an EZ-GO 2012 48V TXT (not RXV) with 2015 batteries for $3200 ? Comes with backseat and lights and charger.

I checked on craigslist and this seems like an OK deal. I am wanting it for a personal cart, not trying to flip it and make money. It is a little more than what I had budgeted but compared to some other 36V PDS carts that are older, this may be a better option.

Any known issues with these carts or things I need to be aware of ? I have not seen it yet but it is not lifted and does not have larger tires and it is a white body.

A dealer has it and it is a bit of a drive so I wanted to get opinions before deciding if it is worth taking the time to check it out.

Thanks !

Is this a refurbished cart by chance?

I do not know....would that effect value over a standard used cart that was traded in ?

Now if it's a refurbished cart it all gets down to how good of job the dealer did on the cart.

Some dealer do very good work refurbishing golf carts. Some just don't in my opinion.

Go look the cart over real good and ask a lot of questions. If it feels right you'll know.

If you dont totally get the "refurbished" thing, here it is in a nutshell.
Privately owned carts that were originally sold to private party hold their value better than carts that were originally sold (or leased) to golf courses as "rental carts" then turned in and later "refurbished" to be sold on the private market. The reasons why are pretty clear, rental carts are used-&-abused like it was stolen (some were), and course cart maintinence is sometimes sub-par.

Not saying you cant get a great deal by buying a "course car", just be sure you look it over (& under) to see that it is decent.
