Default Question @ trojan T-105's vs T-125"s

I have an elderly friend who will be purchasing new batteries. Money is not an issue. He has a big farm and travels around it mostly everyday .He asked me about what he should buy and I had an idea but did some digging. I read some where that a T-105 would have more charge "cycles" than a T-125. He is forgetful and may not remember to charge them every night. (I keep an eye on water levels and such when I visit). I thought a few more amp hours would help if he forgets to charge them, and with distance. Would this have any truth to it? His cart is an 07 PDS 36 volt completely stock. Any comments would be appreciated. I know and appreciate Johnny B will chime in!! Thanks!!

The 125 should get more run time. If money is no object, why not the 145?

Thanks for the input. The local dealer has both fresh T-105's and T-125's in stock. Just thought I would ask opinion's. Muchly appreciated!! I talk to him most night's on the phone, but he is in house and cart is out in shop and doesn't want to go back out. Good Idea for the sign! Thanks.

Crash , I must ask if there is a reason you think 105's are better?

If you go to the specs on the Trojan site, you can see the differences. There's not much. I suspect that crash is suggesting the 105 is the best battery for the buck. The amount you pay for small increase in performance is not worth it to many. But in your case, you said money is not an issue. Go with the 125s if you need em fast. Otherwise order 145s. They probably only take a week to get.

O.k., thought I would update @ our battery's. Both my elder friend and I installed Trojan T-125's in our carts. He got his about a month ago, and I installed mine this week.. After hooking up all cables, and before the initial charge , my DVM showed 37.7. I charged mine twice before a short drive. I REALLY notice a difference! More staying power. One note...when I was picking my batteries up at the dealer he had some that were engraved A6 into the negative post which I assume is January 2016. My batteries are stamped with beige ink beside the negative post D6, which I assume are april 2016. Just wondering how long the ink will last on the battery? If using baking soda and brush to clean I wonder if it will come off? They must have stopped stamping/engraving them and went to using ink to mark them. Thanks for all your help.

Apparently, there are two dates that may appear on Trojan batteries.
Manufacture Date: When battery is assembled, but before electrolyte is added and forming charge is done.
Finish date: When completed battery was shipped from factory.

The text below is a cut&paste from their website
How do you read the date codes on the batteries?
Positive Terminal- Manufacturing Date. This code indicates the actual date when mechanical assembly of the battery was completed. At this point, electrolyte has not been added to the battery and formation charging has not taken place. LETTER stands for the month and could be anything from A to L (A=January, B=February, C=March, and so on),; NUMBER stands for the date.
Negative Terminal- Shipping Date. This code indicates the month and year when the battery was shipped out of our factory. LETTER stands for the month (see below); NUMBER is the last digit of the year.

Attached is a Trojan brochure explaining date codes. The letters & numbers on the battery top are stamped (California) or laser etched (Georgia), so they shouldn't wash off.
