Marathon 100 EZ Go doesn't always go when throttle is depressed

We have a old Marathon 100 that when you step on the throttle it doesn't always go. I've replaced the forward and reverse micro switches, I have replaced all the copper terminals on the speed wiper board as well as the spring loaded wiper. It will go if you "stomp" on the throttle but then it lurches unsafely. Do I replace the Resistor coil or the Solenoid coil or both?

Sounds like you have one or more bad resistor coils.
(if the solenoid was bad, it wouldn't run when you slammed the pedal to floor)

My Marithon was doing this for awhile. I lived with it for probably 6 months. Finnely, the controller burned up. I had it rebuilt and the problem when away.

Thank you...I will replace the resistor coils and see if that fixes the issue.

Ha-Ha, I guess you got a resister cart. My Marithon is a later model. Disregard my ignorance.
