1995 medalist steering issue
Good Afternoon..new to the site but have seen very helpful info on a variety of subjects. I have significant play in my wheel, along with that drifting feeling. When I look at the steering housing, I see alot of play in the flanged bearing. It looks like if you just tighten the nut that this may solve the issue, but it won't tighten. Could this be my problem instead of the actual steering mechanism??

Re: 1995 medalist steering issue
hey man - have same cart just went through same issue. Had a TON of play, ended up buying a whole new R&P steering assembly - when went to replace my issue was found - original assembly actually cracked in half. This caused my passenger tire to wear faster then normal and I could never get the alignment right.... for what are now obvious reasons.
I would replace it - playing with the intricate parts may band aid it for a bit - but the replacement has my steering tight as a ......... |
