Default RXV with no power has the brakes locked

I have a 2008 RXV with 4 2014 12v Trojan 1275+'s. My wife drives it around town and a couple of nights ago tells me the cart doesn't work. I take a look and the EZGO charger is flashing voltage error. I separate them all and they are all 6v or less. None of them will individually take a charge either from any of my 12v chargers.

First, any ideas how 4 batteries that are not that old all die at the same time?

Second, with all the batteries removed, I cannot get the cart to move. Not sure yet if the brakes are locked or if somehow the motor is still engaged, but it will not budge. Is there something I am missing to unlock the wheels so I can move it between now and the time I drop $800 for new batteries?

To move it, remove the motor brake from the drivers side end of the electric motor (3x 10mm bolts, be careful not to overtighten 3 bolts when reinstalling it, only enough to compress lock washers). Beware, Zero brakes at all while its removed. None of the batteries will increase in voltage on a 12v automotive charger? Maybe the automotive charger is a newer "fancy" charger that wont even try to charge a battery that doesnt "look like a 12v battery" to it (they are sitting at a too low voltage for that charger?)

They are all "smart" chargers. They run for a couple of minutes then shut off and say replace batteries. I picked up a couple of small float chargers from Harbor Freight and put those on them tonight just hoping it would do something. I also borrowed a 40 amp charger that has a recondition feature, but the manual says that it runs that profile for 18 hours and can take 5 cycles if the battery is in bad condition (they aren't on the outside for sure, but not sure about inside, but have never been low on water). So that could take a full 20 days. I will look for a release on the motor right now. Thank you.

This is your motor brake. It is stopping you from pushing the cart. Remove the 3x 10mm bolts (yellow arrows) and slip it off the motor. Then it will roll fairly easily. Treat the motor brake nicely, its expensive. When reinstalling it, make sure to slide it on the motor stub without forcing it & dont use the bolts to "draw it on" to the motor, it should hang there by itself. Also, only tighten the bolts enough to compress the lock washers on the bolts. Overtightening them will destroy the brake in as little as 1/4 mile of use.
