Default Voltage Meter mounting

I got one of Scotty's voltmeters. (Thank you Scotty) I mounted it in my ignition plate. I don't have a picture of it, but it is mounted in the same spot as the old meter in this pic. (Not digital)

I had to mount it sideways to fit it in there. That was OK with the bar graph style meter. But I don't really like the digital meter like that. I ordered a new "unique key" switch that I will be mounting soon. I think I might redo the ignition plate then. Has anybody mounted the F/R switch where the Tee holders are. (I don't play golf) How are you guys mounting yours? Pics of your ideas would be nice.

So where do you mount the F/R switch?

Edit, I see it now. I don't think mine will fit like that. Are all the plates the same?

I think you are asking about the outside shape and dimension... yes.

We started making these years ago. They are a clean & simple solution to a common problem. Too bad CC and Yamaha did not follow suit on the key switch plate idea. We offer a universal trim for these 'other' carts. The trim serves as a perfect pattern for the dash cut out.

So just an update on this. I got the new volt meter and mounting plate. I also got a unique key switch. The plate supplied by Scotty is slightly thicker than stock. I knid of like the "heavy duty" nature of it, but the two tabs wouldnt fit in cart slots. Nothing that a file wouldnt cure.

The next problem was the meter doesnt fit tight in the hole. I looked on the site and Scotty had a pic of a spring steel to hold it in. The meter I got had plastic springs on the sides that are sapposed to snap in. They do keep it from falling out, but its not tight. It actually was so loose that the bottom tilted out about an 1/8". Did anybody else have this problem? I had a red meter (also from Scotty) It was the same.

Anyways, I was able to fix it by cutting a piece of aluminum to fit around it. I snapped it on from the back side. You can see it in this pic.

The only other issue I had was the unique key switch is slightly bigger in diameter. So the plate is very difficult install. Ideally the hole could be moved over 1/16-1/8"

In any case, Got it installed and looks great. Not sure if I like the blue or red better. But its going to be blue right now.
