Stripped rear hub
So I upgraded my cable to 2 gauge and took my cart for a ride. Parked it and went to take off and it wouldn't move!!!! Motor spins and I read on here about stripped hubs. Pulled off the hubs, 1 is stripped and the other is ok. I'm gonna replace them both but I was just wondering would 1 stripped hub cause the cart not to move at all? I'm guessing yes but I just wanna make sure I have nothing else going on too. Thanks.

Re: Stripped rear hub
They are a known weak point on EZ-Go carts. FTTF starts take their toll over time. Then there's the reverse/forward slam trying to pop wheelies, and overall rough treatment these carts get in their first lease. There are aftermarket solutions. I used to go through one hub a year until I changed to Ausco Disk Brakes. That was almost 4 years ago. No more stripped hubs.

Re: Stripped rear hub
Thanks that's what I figured. After closer inspection the other hub was messed up too, just not as bad. Now to find them and get it fixed before camping this weekend!!!!

Re: Stripped rear hub
Yea the guy I bought it from last year bought it from a golf course so I'm sure it was abused previously.
