new to forum and to carts

Hello,

I just purchased a new to me 1999 EZ Go electric cart. I have been reading here for a week or so now and just registered today. There is a bunch of good info here.

Can someone help me with some general questions regarding the cart and what it is. I know it is a 1999 by looking at the tag in the glovebox. It has the forward-reverse switch by my right leg and it also has the tow-drive switch underneath the seat on the right side. So it is not the PDS model correct?

What is the big differences between all the lift kits available for this cart. I see there is spindle mounts and another one that looks like a whole axle assembly. I would like to run 22-23 inch tires on mostly flat ground on a ten acre farm plot. I will not be jumping and mudding but there will be some light trail riding.

Good and Valid questions you have.

There will be a number of folks here who can present the reasons for all accessories such as "lift kits" which should help you make a decision on which setup is best for your needs.

Welcome fellow cart enthusiast.....A pds cart will have a toggle switch forward and reverse....Every lift kit has it points and price. You could easily get by with a good Jakes 6" spindle lift for the use you describe..... We will be happy to help with every and any question you may have......
Now. I need to ask you to do us a favor... Everybody has a username which is totally unique to them. There is even a thread that shares the stories behind our usernames.....Some names go back to childhood and some just go back to '89. You see, your user name is nearly a duplicate of roady89 whom we all know and roady is his nickname.....He has been here since the inception of BGW! I am sure I can come up with a different name but how do I change it. I went to the user control panel and I do not see a way of changing username?

How hard is it to remove the body for a new paint job?

1999 TXT body is all thermoplastic and is fastened to the framework with rivets. You get a drill and drill the heads off. Easy to remove, more of a challenge to reinstall because of so many different rivet sizes. I've done it, so you can too.

Does somebody make a rivet kit that includes all the necessary rivets needed to put back together.
